Cecurestream is a video conferencing web application designed to eliminate modern teams' everyday friction when joining or hosting meetings. Whether switching between multiple platforms, dealing with account restrictions, or struggling with time limits, this solution streamlines the entire process. It is a product of Cecure Intelligence Limited.

The Challenge
At Cecure Intelligence, video conferencing tools like Google Meet and Zoho are heavily used due to the organization's remote-first nature. From internal meetings and webinars to the company’s tech academy sessions, including inductions and instructor-led trainings, seamless virtual communication is critical to our daily operations. This consistent reliance on external platforms sparked a key question: Why not build a video conferencing solution designed in Africa, for Africa? One that is cross-platform, user-friendly, and free from common barriers such as account restrictions and time limits.

The goal was to design a cross-platform video conferencing application that benefits Africans, one that is simple, intuitive, and accessible to users across varying conditions and devices.
We aim to eliminate common frictions such as mandatory account sign-ups, session time limits, and complex interfaces, while supporting the growing need for reliable virtual communication in education, business, and community-building across the continent.

We prioritized a fast and seamless scheduling experience, allowing users to set up meetings in seconds, whether manually or directly from their calendars.

We made it easy for anyone to join meetings instantly, with no account or sign-in mandatory. With simple link invites, participants can join meetings easily, lowering the barrier for wider participation.

We introduced reactions to help users express themselves without interrupting the conversation. Whether it’s a thumbs-up during a presentation or a clapping emoji after a pitch, reactions enhance engagement and interaction, especially in group sessions and webinars.
As a crucial part of engagement, the chat feature was designed to ensure participants can ask questions, share links, and contribute to discussions without disrupting the speaker.

To ensure we were solving the right problems and delivering real value, we conducted multiple rounds of internal and external testing. The application was first rolled out for use in internal company meetings, onboarding inductions, marketing webinars, etc.
Initial testing revealed a few technical issues, which we quickly addressed. Though currently in beta, adoption continues to grow steadily as more users experience ceurestream. We’re actively iterating on the product based on continuous feedback and would be shipping new features such as polls, Q&A , AI integrations and more.
